Speaking

Kevin's presentation, "The Magic of Action: How to Overcome Procrastination" was of great value to our participants.  Kevin is a very relaxed speaker who connected well with our audience on a topic that we can all relate to.  The presentation was very lively and the resources that Kevin provided the participants with were great as well.  I would definitely recommend Kevin as a speaker.

Kevin Lawrence's presentation on "The Magic of Action: How to Overcome Procrastination" gave our participants a lot of insight and tools to use in both their professional and personal lives.
The team members at our Head Office loved the "lick the toad" concept so much that we have printed up daily "toad to-do lists" for everyone.  Kevin's presentation was informative but upbeat, our conference attendees enjoyed his speech and many of them have embraced the "lick the toad" concept in their own offices.  As Business Coaches, the importance of overcoming procrastination is definitely something that we teach our clients and must practice is our own businesses in order to be successful at achieving our goals.  Thanks to Kevin, he not only made the point of its importance but made the concept of tackling those unwanted tasks more fun!

Kevin Lawrence's presentation, "The Magic of Action:  How to Overcome Procrastination" was very motivating.  He is a very energetic speaker and his presentation contains excellent techniques and tools about overcoming procrastination.  I have had feedback from our group that they have been using these valuable tools to "lick their toads."

Kevin's presentation on The Magic of Action:  How to Overcome Procrastination was very enjoyable.  Kevin lives what he talks about.  His enthusiasm and first hand experience make him very credible!  Identifying "my toads" and deciding which ones need to be licked has been very valuable!"

I saw Kevin a few weeks ago here in Winnipeg at the CGA conference and to say the least I was inspired.

I went to work the next day a little disappointed that I not been quick enough to get one of his cards with the Toad; but this however has turned into a blessing.

Kevin told me I could go to the website and print one off. I went to the website, looked at the card and decided I could not afford the coloured ink (I’m still a student).

It was at that point I got an inspiration. I decided to save the copy of the toad onto a disk and bring him to work.

He (The toad) is now the wallpaper on my computer complete with a reminder to lick my nastiest toad each morning.

Each day when I open my computer at work I am reminded to lick my nastiest toad and I do. It is also a reminder not to open my email until I have licked the big toad of the day or slotted a time in my calendar to do so. (I start work at 7:00 am and some of my toads are calling people).

I have been so inspired by Kevin’s presentation that I borrowed a book from the library at work on Time management for dummies and I am now in the process of getting my life under control.  I am also preaching about licking toad and I have printed the cartoon type toad that hangs in my cubical.

I realized that this is just the beginning and only time will tell how well things go.

One toad at a time.

Thanks Kevin.

Thanks again for the seminar. I enjoyed it. My objectives for the seminar were to meet 3 new people and to pick up one good idea I can actually use. Those objectives were accomplished.

After getting home, getting back to work and spending some time analyzing my habits I realized that I am really quite organized. My "toadettes" all get handled because I avoid the big toad. That is calling new prospects - essentially cold calls. I have no trouble with the warm or follow-up calls. This has been slowing the development of my business and had to be dealt with.

Using the 8-step process I identified several solutions to handling my "toad". I made the decision to conquer the problem and recognized a need to schedule in "Toad Time" right away. I have now done that on my computer schedule for all the times I recognize are required. For the last 2 days it has been working great and I know it will continue to work because I am seeing the results immediately. I have identified 3 people who are willing to support me. I value their input and we have great mutual respect. So I guess I have already accomplished my objective, and although it will be an ongoing battle I know I will succeed. I always do.

Thanks for your leadership and advise and all the best in your future endeavours. I am sure we will run into each other soon.

Edward Dumonceaux

 Kevin,
Great seminar!  Please send me the list of categories for the Toads.

Thanks,

A big thank you for speaking at our ALIVE Making a Difference Conference and for bringing Jim with you.  What better way to drive home your message!  The students raved about you and your session.  I will be sure to send you the comments from the evaluation forms by the end of next week.

It would be appreciated if you would send me a contact address or number for Jim.  I would like to thank him personally as well.

I would also like to set a time to talk about our coaching arrangement.  Please let me know when a good time would be.

Thanks again, Kevin.  I look forward to speaking with you in the near future.

 Hi Kevin,

I just wanted to say "thank you" once again for a very enjoyable, and extremely well priced, evening last night. I was pretty wired when I got home and couldn't get to sleep for awhile. Do you think I may have somehow been energized by those exercises?

I think you are onto something with this concept. You have a unique ability to bridge the corporate and spiritual worlds in a SINCERE manner. I bet you could charge three times what you did yesterday and still get a similar turnout. This could be a great niche for you...if that's what you want (I know it's a lot of work, and you've got other things going.).

Mark Majewski

I thank you very much for having been a guest speaker at the Canadian Junior Chamber's Canadian-American meeting about 2 years ago.  It is as a result of that that I have been enjoying your positive mental attitude emails.

Sometimes, it is a bit too often for me to read and soak up all the wisdom of your emails when you send them daily.   This reader from Seattle, WA will not complain if you switch to a weekly format.

 To Whom It May Concern:

It is our practice to poll our membership on speakers we engage for our meetings.  We received nothing but positive feedback on Kevin.  Every attendee to our event said they would return to hear him again.

On general, our chapter found Kevin's presentation to be upbeat and informative.  It was obvious that he understood the dynamics and demands of the financial services industry.

Many speakers not versed in the technical aspects of our industry tend to give generic talks that our membership find difficult to apply to any aspect of their practice. Kevin's tactics however were very enlightening with our attendees leaving excited about taking something away that they could not only use to build their business, but to improve other areas of their life as well.  I know of a number of attendees who signed up for Kevin's programs afterward plus an overwhelming majority subsequently subscribed to his newsletter.

I plan to keep Kevin on our roster for future speaking engagements, and have submitted his bio and handout to our National office so that he can be added to our National Speaker List.

 Dear Kevin,

RE: The Magic of Action Seminar

I wanted to thank you for your entertaining seminar, The Magic of Action: How to Overcome Procrastination and Create the Results You Rally Desire, you presented at our June 23, 2001 AGM.  Your humorous approach and amusing anecdotes kept myself and the audience entertained.  I particularly enjoyed the amount of audience interaction.

Based on my conversation with other audience members, your seminar had an impact on us and we will always remember to "Lick our Toads"!

On behalf of the CGA_BC Richmond/South Delta Chapter, and myself I would like to thank you for adding a bit of humour and energy to our otherwise dry Annual General Meeting.

 Sincerely,

 James Leung, BComm. CGA

 Dear Kevin,

It is with great pleasure that we take this opportunity to thank you for the wonderful seminar you put together for our clients.  Based on the feedback we have received from virtually every participant, the topic of "procrastination" and its impact on their business productivity, morale and profits was pertinent and meaningful.  Our clients particularly enjoyed the interactive element of the seminar and your "upbeat presentation".

Kevin, you have told our clients that by employing simple, effective strategies and by implementing common sense initiatives, they can succeed (in their businesses and other aspects of their lives) in establishing and reaching their goals while enjoying increased satisfaction doing so.  We know from working with you personally, that you practice what you preach and once again you have impressed us.

We told our clients to expect a high-energy seminar, jammed with information and inspiration and once again you made it possible for us to deliver!

We look forward to enjoying many more mutual successes in the future and to making the same possible for others.

 Best regards,

Daniel Majewski

Thank you for dedicating time to speak to the members of the Canadian Society of Marketing Professional Services. Your presentation was very informative and inspiring. Maybe it is all common sense, but we still need to be reminded!

I appreciated your animated delivery and friendly manner. I know many other members also found your presentation to be enjoyable and worthwhile.

Kristina Raine

Kevin, you did an excellent job for us on June 10, 1999, thank you. You are truly a coach, we saw first hand that people have the answers themselves, as good coaches we simply need to provide guidance, ask questions. Through the wheel exercise we were able to clearly see which areas of our lives we could work on in order to maintain a balance for healthier and happier life.

As a presenter your style was simple, yet potent. I am very happy that you will be presenting the workshop to the rest of our staff. Once again, excellent job and thanks!

Debbie Davis
CGA-BC

From the evaluation forms we received back at the end of the conference, your session was rated very highly. I would like to share with you of a few specific examples of the impact your presentation had on those attending.

One student, Aimee, told me that your session has changed her life! She was able to really think about what she needed to do to move to Calgary in the New Year and has developed an action plan to achieve this goal.

I spoke with one of my colleagues, Marion, whose daughter Andrea attended "Ignite your Passion." Andrea went home at the end of the day very excited and told her all about "licking the toad" and shared what she had gained from the session. Marion was so amazed by Andrea's enthusiasm and motivation and she thanked us for putting on the conference.

On Monday, December 6, 1999, I received a call from Suzanne Cameron, the Career and Placement Program (CAPP) coordinator at Elphinstone Secondary School. She had heard lots of positive feedback from the students about "Ignite your Passion" and would like to facilitate a workshop at her school. I gave her your contact numbers. They are sure talking about you over here!

I had the opportunity to observe the group during your session. I noticed the audience was very attentive and participated fully in the discussion. Having shared your own mistakes and successes, you added credibility to your message and garnered the respect of the audience. Your sincerity and authenticity also was evident - you must really love what you do!

Just a short note to thank you for the seminar you presented to my group last Wednesday. The presentation exceeded my client's, and my own, expectations. For your information, I received many favorable comments regarding both the content and your enthusiasm when presenting.

It was so nice having you as our key guest speaker on Jan 30 when we have our Saturday "Business Builder School" which was attended by 200 new and seasoned Personal Financial Analysts from our local teams in the south BC regions.

As we sought to maintain our leadership role in the financial services industry, we try to keep our people in schools often to learn and to be reminded of the key success factors of a business. Your in depth session on "How to expand your client base & Increase your bottom line in 1999" is timely for our associates to charge forward in 1999. We have received numerous feedback on your great message on "the human nature" as a stumbling block to success, in particular in the area of getting and keeping referrals.

The Western Can-Am Training Weekend was successful on many fronts including the quality training that was offered to the participants. Your presentation on Generating Endless Referrals for Your Club was absolutely raved about by those who attended. Some even commented that you seminar was worth the whole fee for the conference! They couldn't wait to get back to their Jaycee chapters and implement your ideas.

Audrey Diamond
The Vancouver Junior Board of Trade/Jaycees

In our debriefing session everyone in the group commented on how quickly you established a rapport with them and on how much insight they had received into this important area of marketing and the options that are available to them.

Everyone appreciated your depth of knowledge and sense of humour and look forward to a return visit.

Newsletters  Just a quick note and "Thank you".

I have been receiving your newsletter for a while now, and I truly believe your perspective and philosophy are unique and very effective.

A little background; I was in the financial services industry for 12 years, and by most standards a "superstar", respected by my peers, the competition, and senior management. I participated in more than a few strategic coaching programs, some individual, some groups. I made some poor choices and to make a long story short lost my career, my marriage et al.  The competitive nature of the industry, puts all emphasis on results, and of course it is a business, and they are there to make numbers.  However, the person aside from the numbers they produce isn't valued very much.

You become valued based upon last months numbers, and once again this is business and that's "our job" As I am sure you've seen that takes a toll on even "strong" players. Your approach seems to suggest that the key to sustained success is balance and perspective. This is a rare approach in your arena, and one I wish I would have been exposed to, maybe it would have made a difference.  I realize your in business to make a living, and today I am really struggling to get a new job and get back on my feet financially, hopefully the time will come when I can take advantage of your services and pay you for them, in the meantime thank you for your newsletter, it is very much appreciated, and I am confident "that whatever goes around comes around "

~ J.F.D.

I subscribed to your newsletter this past summer because a close friend had forwarded me a couple of your messages and I was continually impacted by them.

I often feel that your messages hit home with me and this one was no exception.  Each year I have become less and less enchanted with Christmas on the whole and I realize that it's largely due to the commercial focus.  Thank you for your gentle reminder behind the true magic of Christmas and I have made a personal commitment to spend more time and energy on the things that really matter to me ... my friends and family.

~ T.C.

Thank you for your good messages on Successful Life.  I want to wish you a warm and blessed holiday and express my gratitude for the suggestions made in today's issue of SL.  You are blessed to have such a thoughtful and kind heart.

~A.W., Texas

Every day I so enjoy...and am inspired by the words you share...thank you

~ B.N.

You know, Kevin, I have to tell you this:

I watch "Hour of Power" every Sunday with the Rev. Robert Schuller - he is SO GOOD.  When I read your very first newsletter, I came away with the SAME feeling I come away with on Sunday morning, listening to Rev. Schuller.  I am SO inspired to go out & conquer the world!!  I am SO glad that I came across you & the Newsletter.  I do forward it on and I know that others enjoy it as well!

KEEP UP THE GREAT (not just good) WORK!!

~ C.B.

Just a note to let you know I do enjoy your daily emails.  I wake up to them every morning.

The one thing I enjoy about them the most is that at the end of each letter, you ask the tough questions to help your readers into action.

Thanks again Kevin, and keep up the good work!

~ A.P., Illinois

 Thank you!

This is really what I needed so very much today!

 God Bless you

~ C.W.

 Kevin,

I just love to read your words of wisdom.  They always make my day a little brighter.  Keep up the good work.

~ T.C.

Thank you.  That was perfect for me to read today.  I've been wondering

for about 2 weeks what this particular email might be and was reluctant to open it, but some things are not meant to be until, they are meant to be.

Thank you, again.  I don't remember subscribing, but I am glad I did.

~ C.P.

I just wanted to send you a thank you.
I really appreciate receiving your e-mail.
It always pertains to something going on in my life at that moment, and I accept it as welcome encouragement.
I'd like to return the favor.
Thank you very much for being a light in my life.

~ C.W.

You've hit it right. As we approach the end of the year, the question we always ask is, What have we done? What are the results of our "doing"?  Rightly said, the measure of our success for the year, or in life for that matter would be, what have we become? What are we now compared to what we were at the start of the year? Have we become a better person?

Being and doing are really poles apart. The truth is, the more we strive to do more, the more we become frustrated, tired and realize that we cannot really do everything. But the good thing is, the more we become what we really want to be, we feel happy, contented, relaxed and realize that we could really be whatever we want to be.

Remember the Nike motto - Just do it! It should have been, Just be!

~ M.L., Phillipines

I really needed that, as I woke the other day feeling quite discouraged that things are so slow on the net. Battling away for seven years living on a shoestring here on PURE FAITH. Thanks for helping encourage me to "keep on keeping on".

One day soon I hope I will live with pride behind me, love around me and hope ahead of me (At least I've still got the hope bit right).

Thanks for the encouragement and Richest Blessings

I will persist in my endeavours and mission until I achieve success, no matter what it takes.  Thanks for the encouragement and daily dose of upliftment.

~ C.L., New Zealand

I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy reading your e-zine.  I am a new subscriber and have found it to be very interesting information!  Keep up the good work and I will keep on reading!

~ C.H., New York

Reason to write is your daily encouragements have helped so much in the daily challenge here at school and providing the perspective needed to be successful in the business area.  You are making a difference.  Thanks so much.

~ D.L.

Just thought I would email you and tell you how much I enjoy reading your articles everyday. I have forwarded your link to others, people I thought who could use your uplifting stories and others who are already uplifted.  Keep up the good work

~ D.S.

The value I find in my subscription is that it provides me with a focus or guide for my daily scheduled spiritual development time. I have other issues, concerns, and interests that are in my face as part of my everyday existence.  Examples of these are growing my business, continuing my education, a friend's illness, relationship situations, or for me now, "letting go".  Sometimes the subjects of your letters support these and sometimes they provide something else fresh and less pressing to look at.

Thanks, I honor your effort to spread goodwill and the difference you make.

~ Dave, Oregon

I don't usually respond to your messages (although I find them very beneficial), but this one just hit too close to home. Is it a coincidence?  I doubt it. I do read carefully everyday, and I believe that I am taking it to heart.

This past weekend, I spent it fighting with a very good friend. My argument was that he was not giving me the respect I deserved. And now your message today was about respect. With my friend, I was trying to be liked, and so let him do some walking over me. Had enough and told him so.

 Just wanted to share.

I look forward to your email every day. And will continue to do so.

~ D.D.

Thanks Kevin - good one! I passed this on to lots of people.

~ E.D.

 Kevin,

Just a short note to let you know how much I appreciate your newsletter. It is clearly well thought out and filled with transferable concepts. Thank you and continued success.

~ J.D.

Kevin, I enjoy receiving your inspirational e-mails.

 Thanks for sending them.

~ Jason

Amen to your advice.  Happiness is only from within and living the right lifestyle to keep your perspective positive.  Don't set yourself up for life's little falls.  Learn from your mistakes and make a conscious effort to avoid making the same mistake.  Also, the luxury items only clutter your life.  The less I have the happier I have become without having to think of what to do with all that stuff.  Make life simple and be positive will only lead to success.  You only live once, be careful, but make life fun and love the ones closest to you.

~ J.A.

I really enjoy your newsletter.  I usually look on the good side of things (much to the amusement and disdain of the complainers around me), and I strive for excellence in my daily work.  I am looking to change things in my life, professionally, financially and physically.  I also strive to have a deeper relationship with my husband, family, friends, and most importantly, God.  I want to thank you for sending out your newsletters, they are a wonderful tool to use at work and at home.  I file them after each read and bring them out again when I need a "lift" or a change in perspective.

Your newsletter about stepping down half-way through a commitment made it easier for me to make the same decision about a play that I was directing.   It was the best decision for me to postpone it, and I am glad now that I did.  Thank you for helping me to reassess my priorities and determine what is most important.

I just wanted you to know I love getting your e-mails everyday.   In fact, I look forward with anticipation to reading my e-mails on top of work related items because I enjoy THE SUCCESSFUL LIFE.

~ J.P., North Carolina

I just wanted to take a few minutes out of my busy day to say, Thank You.

Your Endless Referrals newsletter is one of two newsletters that I actually receive via email and look forward to reading every time I see the next one coming in. I have taken many of the tips you have given in past newsletters and put them into effect in my daily life and the results are truly amazing.  The best tip of all was the time you explained the advantages of getting rid of the troublesome clients that always made life difficult for you. I never realized just how much time and energy I was wasting trying to make them happy for nothing in return. Once I went down my list of business contacts and began putting into practice your concept of endless referrals by concentrating on those clients that didn’t make me feel like I was doing them a favor by working for them but the other way around my business tripled in a month. From you guessed it referrals that the clients I was neglecting sent to me because I made them happy. Not once did the clients that I dropped ever send me any new business. Anyways I just wanted to say thank you once again. Keep putting out the newsletter.

~ J.B., Missouri

 Dear Kevin,

Hi!  Even though this was a service I signed up for, I'd just like to let you know that you're doing a great job and receiving your mail really perks me up. Thanks and keep up the good work!

~ K.B., Singapore

Just wanted to thank you for the wonderful articles that I receive each and every day from you.  I have found many great ideas to use them with my Professional Development class especially the laughter ones.  It is so true, that I must say I try to include laughter in my classroom each and every day.  I enjoy laughing and getting the class to feel comfortable with each other and myself with them.  It definitely helps to get to know them and get them involved even if it is just a smile for the very quiet student; it is something.

Again, thanks.  I wish I could have you speak to my class, it would be quite enjoyable I am sure.

~ K.D.

I just wanted to let you know how much I have enjoyed your Successful Life newsletters these past few weeks!  I am simply blown away at how accurate and relevant the insights and questions in your past few newsletter have been - it is almost scary how they parallel my own life!  I guess we are all dealing with similar stuff, aren't we??

Like the man you described in the "Don't dance so fast" email, I have recently burnt out!  Once I stopped and had a chance to look around me, I realized painfully that I have been so "busy" doing that I have been truly unfulfilled. My body quit and said that's it!  No more!  It is amazing how we can keep on going on nervous energy!  I am glad this happened to me as I am now aware of what is going on around me.  The time I have had to rebuild has been incredible - a real eye opener.  I have found meditation to be so helpful and beneficial in my life.  I have been practicing for over a year and a half now and I cannot believe how much richer my life is. Not to mention the connection to God and the sense of peace.  Wow!  Truly amazing!

Thanks for your daily doses of wisdom - you do not know just how much they have helped!  It is great to read an inspiring word when things get tough and also to know that other have been in the same boat!  Thanks for passing the life preserver!

~ K.T.

That was a wonderful email.  It really touched my heart and it made me realize I needed to do something that I had been procrastinating about.

Thank you.

~ K.C.

Just wanted to let you know how much of a difference your words have made in my life.  My boyfriend & I have found 'Successful Life' & the meditation seminar to be incredible inspiring & supportive to the changes we want to make in our everyday lives!  You really make us realize what is truly important & this helps us to decide new directions & goals & get rid of the garbage that we don't need.  Thank you so much for being there & for being so helpful, you're the greatest Kevin!!!

~ M.

I just wanted to extend my appreciation for the inspirational words you send via email.  My day really perks up after I read them.  It is a wonderful addition to my day.  Keep them coming!

~ L.

I just wanted to take a minute and thank you for your 2 newsletters.  They are one of the few I still read, although many come to my door.  I gave that lots of thought and came to two conclusions:

 1.  They're not littered with ads that I have to scroll through to get to the good stuff.

2.  They're short, but packed with good ideas and thoughts that are expressed through your personal experience.

 That's awesome

Keep up the good work and I'll keep reading.

~ L.B.

I love getting those notes in my Email of Kevin's thoughts...they are so “commensensical" and I wish more people thought along the same line, so I keep passing these along to friends and acquaintances and hope they see the "light" sometime in their lifetime!

~ M.F.

Thank You for today's message in believing that there is a way out of any situation.  I really needed to read that uplifting message.  It jogged my "belief" system once more.

Keep up the great writings.

~ M.P.

Thanks for all of your articles... But God bless you for this one...I quit my job about three years ago. Lately I have been getting really bored and have been looking for and praying about what it is God wants me to do.  Thanks to your article today, I realize I should not waste precious time wondering what it is God wants me to do, but I should expand on some of the gifts he has blessed me with.

~ J.M.

Just had to write to you to tell you something in that Successful Life really touched my spirit.  It was beautiful.  I plan to use the questions you put at the end for my continued self-improvement purposes.

Thank you for another S.L well done.

~ M.S., New Zealand

 Hi Kevin

Just a little thank you for all the lovely words you send, I do really appreciate it.  The enclosed was just beautiful.  Thank you for all your hard work!

TeleCourses

Judy from Pentiction, B.C.

If you want to grow and focus more on your business, PSC is a really good course.  I do not always agree with what always comes up and sometimes afterwards I have to mull it over and then it becomes very clear.  The concepts really help you move forward in both your business and personal life.  It also gives you more of a focus between the balance of the two.

The things that have impacted me the most are the personal growth issues that we have talked about.  I have seen a real change in the way I value my personal time. There is more of a division between my personal time and the time I spend at work.  The course has helped me realize that personal time is important, family time is important, and business does not have to come before everything else.

To anyone considering taking the course, go for it.  It is well worth the investment.  It is also a wonderful way to get your P.D. points.  It is so convenient because you don’t have to leave the office!

For anyone who is starting their own practice, the course provides so many valuable tools.  It is also valuable to anyone who is wants to make a change or who is trying to run a business.  It is always difficult to make a change and having other practitioners to discuss this with, has been very valuable.

Taking the course last year helped me clarify my decision to leave and start my own practice and have the confidence to do this.

The course provides you with the tools and options.  Ultimately it is up to us to follow through and execute what we have learned.

To get the most from your practice and your personal life, invest in yourself.  This is one of the best investments that I have ever spent money on for myself.  It has strengthened my business.  It has strengthened my personal relationship, and it has allowed me to focus on where I want to go in the future both personally and corporately.

If you are hesitating about this, you obviously need to invest in yourself.  If you are not hesitating, then you wouldn’t need to invest in yourself.

The ability to speak to the other members on the call openly without worrying about it allows you to get the feedback you need to move forward.  I would not have the practice I have or be in business if I did not take this course.

Kevin has a way of getting participants to realize what they really want from their practice and personal life. He then helps you find the tools to get there.

PSC is much more than PSO - it takes those ideas, re-affirms and expands them to help improve my practice. Every week I can take something from the group discussion and use it.  Staff are happier, new "great" clients are coming in the door and I'm really enjoying life.

Thanks Kevin !

The most Valuable part of PSO has been talking to other practitioners and learning from their experiences.  It allows me to focus on the problems in my firm and find solutions

You have nothing to lose by taking the course; you have everything to gain.

Keri from Vancouver

The most valuable part of PSO has been talking to other practitioners.  It is interesting to hear their perspective on their practices and also see that other practitioners are going through the same things.  It is a safe environment to share problems and get help without feeling awkward or uncomfortable.

If you are in doubt at all of taking the course, the short program is a great test.  Writing down my ideal client has been very valuable.  Because I had the definition of my ideal client in front of me, I recognized a client that was not ideal and was able to redirect them.

This program has been my first experience with business coaching.  I was reluctant at first to the teleconference procedure but it has worked out very well.

The coaching from Kevin and the experiences shared by the other practitioners involved, who have intimate knowledge of the business has been very valuable.  I appreciate Kevin’s insight into what works and what doesn’t.  I like the fact that it is specialized.

The PSC program gives you the chance to bounce your ideas off of other practitioners, which you often don’t get the opportunity to do in a small single person firm.  Kevin gets you to think about what is important in both your business and personal life.  It has been invaluable. The course has helped me to get focused allowing good things to happen.

I absolutely enjoyed the program and it has motivated me and jump started me in a positive direction.  It was JUST what I needed and in the last 2 months, my life has improved a lot. More than I dreamed possible. Good things keep happening!!!!!  Onwards and forwards!

 Thank you sooooo much!

~ H.R.

Thank you!  In addition to all that I had said on my previous Email, you could also let Kevin know that because of the toads I licked during the program, and toads I licked after the program, I have received $6000! It's a snowball effect!  I love it.  So, thank you once again!

~ H.R.

I recently changed companies due to an office closure.  We are strictly a business to business wholesale processing company.

My position is in side sales, customer service and sales lead coordinator. After your class on how to ask for referrals, I got a computer print out of customers from 1996 or earlier.  These are 4 years or older clients.  Why? Our contracts are normally 4 years.  I now had 426 potential past customers to call on.

The first day I did this, we had 2 past customers that needed additional equipment for their businesses, I had 2 past clients that gave me 4 referrals, which I called and was able to create 6 sales from.

I consistently daily spend at least 20 minutes contacting past clients and asking them questions.  Of the 127 clients I've reached only 4 have not allowed me to call them back. After a current sale, within a month I've used that same procedure of asking for referrals from my current customers.  I've made 2 more sales from referrals on present customers in the last 2 months by learning how to ask for referrals properly.  I've now got more friendly voices to talk with - which is great near the end of my sales day.

Thanks Kevin for showing me how to ask for referrals.  The past clients have been polite, provide useful ways we can assist them and are much nicer to speak with than the other cold calls I make in the beginning of the day!

These customer service and referral request calls have generate at present an extra 1 to 4 sales a week for me.  Kevin, you've shown me a way to success, good relationship skills and a pay raise of at least $500-$2,000 or more each week - just by consistently applying the basic principles your shared with us.

 C.M.

 Dear Kevin;

I hold myself accountable to you.  I made over 50 former clients calls last week and spoke to 11 former clients.  From those I spoke to I made another sale and sold a referral.  2 sales from 11 calls is much easier than plain old cold calling which yielded 3 sales this week.

 C.M.

I took your magic of action teleclass about two months ago, and wanted to just let you know the results.  I made a list as you suggested of far more than 25 "little" problems, and committed to completing about 5.  I actually completed about 25 in the month, although the list itself is still quite long.  Some major tasks, many months old, were completed, although some really huge tasks that have been put off for years are still ahead.

I'm seeing, however, that I need to devise a screening system to make sure that these problems don't get into my life in the first place, since once here, they take forever to root out.

B.F.

I am writing to thank Kevin Lawrence for helping me overcome one of my biggest mental blocks.  I have always had problems when it comes to billing my clients especially when my time is higher than I expected.

I just completed the first year-end set of financial statements for a new client.  My time was $1,000 more, or about 30% higher, than what I had discussed with the client.  In the past I would delay, and worry about, billing the client while I thought about the best way to try and invoice for this extra amount.  I would then either bill for the amount I estimated to the client or bill him for a nominal additional amount and hope the client wouldn't complain.  I would then write off the extra time or left it and tried to recover it the next year.

I met with Kevin and with his help I wrote down what to say to the client to get his approval to invoice him for the extra $1000.  Kevin and I then role-played phoning the client and going through the different scenarios including the client balking at the extra $1,000.

After my meeting with Kevin I phoned the client and as Kevin predicted the client approved the extra $1000.  What a difference.  It's going to be so much easier preparing the invoice for the extra $1,000 knowing the client has approved it rather than wondering what his reaction is going to be.

Without Kevin's help I would never have billed the client for 100% of this extra work.  If you have similar mental blocks that are holding you back I encourage you to consider Kevin's services.  This one meeting alone has more than paid for itself both financially and in peace of mind.

B.B.

Kevin, thank you for an excellent class which I got a lot out of.

As the follow up class is at 2am for me in the UK, I am going to pass!

I really enjoyed your Toads and I will look out for your classes again.

 Many thanks and good wishes.

C.C.

Great class today! - The Magic of Action.

 Thank you so much.

You're energy and enthusiasm - very upbeat and helpful, good at keeping the energy moving.

Most helpful to me: reminding me that I can get the help I need, put people on my team to help me create accountability and deadlines. We don't have to do it all alone; the most successful people get lots of support.

Indirectly and subtly, a HOLE BUNCH of issues about coaching came together for me around this.  Thank you so much for this.

I'm gonna give the toad licking strategy a fair shake. I look forward to receiving your newsletters and future teleclass schedule.

Look for my 50 Toads in the e-mail by Monday night!

Gracious thanks... and all the best to you,

Great teleclass this morning!   Thanks for sharing your insights and wisdom.

J.G.

Thank you for the wonderful teleclass today on Referrals. As you know I made three calls and the results were excellent. My first call led to the introduction (when I am ready) of the head of a financial planning service where my friend's father is working. I am targeting financial planners since I work with young retirees, helping them to discover their personal/work fulfillment for the next phase of their lives. I then called a friend in the corporate world and he said that he knew of two individuals fitting my retirement description and he also gave me the name of his financial planner. I called a third individual and she did not know of anyone.

I feel inspired in knowing that if I decide to, I could start a full time coaching practice and get referrals quickly. I will let you know how things are progressing. Thanks again for your insights.

 Sincerely,

J.W.

Dear Kevin:

First I want to thank you for the wonderful teleclass you prepared for us.  I been avoiding to write this email and complete this thing list but I will do it! Just do it, just do it , just do it!!!!! I have these words you said in my mind every second now.

Well Kevin ,Thank you once again for your help and I hope to take another class soon!

M.O.

Hi Kevin:

I am getting back to you let you know I did receive 10 referrals as a result of the actions undertaken from the Power of Referral call.

I have received 6 more this month so far and am on my way to continuing that process.

Thanks for your generosity in coaching.

M.S.

I wanted to thank you for yesterday's teleclass.  I enjoyed the session, and was particularly pleased to learn the six step model for referrals.  I've now incorporated this approach within my 'networking conversation' and had an opportunity to test drive the model last night with much success.

 Thanks again for help!

Dianne Weinstein

I thought I would update you on how my meetings went last Friday as well as how I have changed my thinking lately.  Of course, last Friday I had visions of going through all of my questions, but in reality only got through one or two. Reason being, is that the clients just would not stop talking! You two probably already knew this was going to happen.

Client 1-About halfway through our interview, she stopped and told me that...yes, what she wanted was an adviser who cares about her money. Bottom line, I don't think anything else mattered to her at the time.

Client 2-I was unable to get to any deep questions, as the client had lots of issues. I believe trust was built, though, and another meeting has been set up.

Client 3-I couldn't get past the first question, since the client went on and on about his goals. I think he got the message that I was sincerely interested in helping him achieve them. When he asked me why I wanted to know about his goals, I told him that it would allow me to understand and get to know him a little better, which would help me in coming up with appropriate recommendations for him. I think it floored him a little. And I liked that!

Client 4-Once again, I only got through two questions. What kind of lifestyle do they want to have and what do they want to accomplish. Took the whole meeting away from a quarterly portfolio review and into their world. I think it took us all by surprise.

To summarize, the majority of my meetings in the past week have focused more on the client and what is important to them. As I write this, it seems like stuff I have heard over and over again throughout the years, but deep down I know that I am feeling different the process and not just going through the motions.

R.P.

I want to thank you for your class on how to ask for referrals.  I took notes, submitted my script and took action.  You asked us to call at least 10 past clients and use the new telephone tools you had given us and report back. The first day I contacted 11 past customers and had 5 referrals.  Those referrals led to one sale and one potential sale within 24 hours.

Thanks for allowing me to participate in your call.  I discovered I had more matches than I thought.  Your call directed some breeze over the smoking paper and flame was generated.  If I was not coaching myself I would sign up - you got a great response.  I will stay in touch if I may for future opportunities.  Thank you.

N.B.

I finally did it, I licked one of my major toads.

I completed and handed in my sales expenses from Nov 1 - March 31st.

By the way you are so right!  Though it did take a while, it was not nearly as long or horrible as one makes them selves imagine.

Also, I finished my taxes two weeks ago, first time I finished them early!  (I took your advice and asked for a little help for a change - it works!)

Even though I did not verbally participate a lot in your 1-day procrastination session, I did listen and take notes from both parts.

I now realize on a subconscious level, I was afraid if I failed when someone like you was helping me then there would be no hope.  I have a lot of well developed and subconsciously hidden, self defeating actions in my repertoire - and I am working to eliminate them one by one.

Thank you very much.  You started me on a new road.

I WAS the king of procrastinators.  But one by one, I will face each item and get it done (licked!).   I realize so many items on my plate cause huge amounts of stress and anxiety.  Also by not doing "A", when I should have -- all of the sudden there is a "B and C" to do  - and they begin to look larger and cause stress because A was not done.

Just wanted to thank you and say take care.

S.F.

I had to let you know that I closed with another client this afternoon...and it was smoother than a knife cutting butter

We met him for a face to face...only brought ONE copy of the proposal (which I gave to him afterwards...I have it online)

UNCANNY how I heard YOUR words coming out of his mouth (even thought I heard that Canadian accent!)

 Almost verbatim he said:

"You've captured everything that I told you I wanted to do...it's all there...you listened to exactly what I said I wanted to do, and have shown me the plan on how I can get there, just liked I asked for.......I have to choose one of the options you have........it will give me exactly what I asked for......it's a little more expensive than what I thought it would be, but I new I wanted to partner with you when I approached you, now I'm convinced...and you've already shown me what coaching can do with some of the questions you asked"

So......again thanks Kevin......I'm well on my way to using this approach from now on.......I still have a separate contract that I have them sign......and I leave the amount of time and $$$$ amounts blank.....so that we can fill them in on the spot

Each time I use this it gets easier and easier.

D.M.

 Kevin,

Not sure if this is from visualization, premonition, etc.  but received a fax today from a hospital on space coast.   We had done a mailing in November and made followup calls - minimal response.  Message on the letter said, "sorry we couldn't use your services last Dec, presently we would welcome your offer if it is still available".

Pulled out my qualifying questions, got through on second call to him who is the Adminstrator (decision maker) and went through the questions.  Asked if I sent him the assessment, could he have it back next week - he said he would.  Asked if this time next week would be good to catch him, he said yes.  So, we'll see!  It all seemed so easy - no sweaty palms.  Thanks again for a terriffic course.

M.D.

Kevin, thank you so much for your February 13 telecourse.  As I mentioned at the end of the call, the item that had the most impact on me was simply making lists of things to do.

I currently feel a lot of pressure to get many things done, a high workload.  Simply putting my "toads" down on paper does a lot to alleviate my stress and gives me a great starting point to prioritize.   Otherwise, I would have wasted a lot of mental effort trying to remember what's due next and fight the feeling that I'm missing something.  (Not to mention I've not had any items slip through the cracks)

Thank you for improving my life, and God bless you for giving so much to so many of us!

T.B.

 Kevin, I'm so relieved!!!

Yesterday I had the meeting planned for several weeks w/ the client that wasn't performing to the plan.  Went through interview process and suggested 2 options.  They agreed and we're back on track w/ their support. I'm looking forward to working with them again.   Your method works!  Thanks

M.D.

For the first time since taking your Advisory Method course earlier this year I decided that I could save some time, and didn't need to use the proposal approach with this referred prospect as he was pretty much in the bag....

Well, I don't need to tell you what happened....

Okay, okay you don't have to say it .... I'm back in the fold.

Hope all is well with you ... and thanks for all you do for people.

G.C.

In October I had registered for your Magic of Action teleconference but was unable to participate due to work hours.

Persistence paid its' dividends today when I was finally able to participate in your conference.

I really do appreciate the opportunity you afforded us today-to be a part of such an awesome learning experience.

Thanks again,

Dear Kevin,

I so enjoyed the Practice Success Circle and the other periodic session that I had wanted to have you as a coach for some time.  It was a big commitment to make both in effort and financially.

Ideally, I wondered about the full-day session up front.  After doing it as two half-day sessions, I felt very fast-tracked and prepared to embark on the year of coaching.  I actually could not imagine not doing it.  It seems that it was the foundation that prepared me to actually achieve things.  There were many things to understand to start getting results as soon as possible and to get the most out of coaching.

Your explanation of how the "money mind" hinders progress was most indicative of my own limitations to growth.  How much I learned in these sessions! I feel liberated, empowered by the experience and so very excited about our future sessions.  I can see how much growth can be achieved by working at it.  And, as a result of these introductory sessions, I understand how our plan will work and I feel very committed to it.

I appreciate your work with me, both in the Practice Success circle and personal coaching and I look forward to working together in the future.

Thank-you again!

 Sincerely,

J.N.

  March 23, 2001

 Dear Kevin,

As a result of the great effects that the Practice Success Circle is having on me, I felt the need to have an intense, personal session to get me jump-started.

You requested me to prepare and send to you my questions and problems, why they were difficult, and some possible solutions.  This process prompted me to analyze and write down the issues, and I realized how manageable most of the issues were.  However, my concerns in communicating my fee increases seemed unmanageable to me.,

Kevin, you gave me a method to communicate with my clients in a non-threatening, professional manner.  The role-playing really assisted in execution with the clients.  I felt liberated and empowered by the whole experience.

I also appreciate your work with me and look forward to working together in the future in the Practice Success Circle.

 Thank-you again!

 Sincerely,

J.N.

 Dear Kevin,

I have taken the Advisory Method Program and am currently taking the Magic of Action Teleconference Program with you and want to share with you some of the results I've experienced.

In the time frame of taking The Advisory Program, I attracted 18 new clients.  The greatest gem I received from this class was to work with people that would be my ideal clients rather than just anybody that was breathing.

This shift gave me more time and emotional energy to attract more ideal client and make more money while still having time to live a balanced life and have fun.   By working with the ideal client I feel energized after coaching rather than drained.  It has been a wonderful experience for me.  I have been able to create a series of great questions that create trust, and allow me to extract exactly what my client want to work on up front.  This simple process allows the client to feel trusting and confident with my service and me.  Enrolling clients into my practice is effortless rather than a sales struggle.

Thank you for the valuable courses you offer.

 Sincerely,

P.K.

Just thought I would drop you a line to let you know how amazing it is as to how many of your principles I use when doing my day to day sales with Bowdens West . . . Now, it may have taken a couple years as my head space was not there when you worked with us at Signs Now Yaletown .. . .but I recently visited your website and reviewed some of your thoughts and went "Holy Crap, I am actually doing that".  I also find myself quoting and reciting many of the things we went over a couple of year ago.

Yes, Mr. Lawrence, you 've had impact.  My focus is the best it's been in years.  2001 has been like flipping a switch.  Thanks for your help.

I had a bunch of prospecting call to make and I put if off and put if off.  The longer I did this the bigger the job seemed to be and the harder it was to get started at it.

I started myself to get distracted by anything to avoid making the calls.

Eventually, because of all the stress, I put myself through; I got run down and made myself sick.  Which ended up putting me even more behind.  But finally, I made the commitment to get it done.  And I followed through and did it.  And it wasn't nearly as I thought it would be.  And I feel great!

I learned a few things through all this:

1.      It is easier just to do it - don't procrastinate!

2.      Must keep moving - if you don't you get in a rut and it is sometimes hard to get out of the rut.

Coaching

October 2003

Deep down I knew the things I should be doing, but work often got in the way

You can always make yourself busy and can always be doing something important but it seems the most important things that aren’t time sensitive get left behind and that is what I was doing.

Kevin made me draw a line and commit to getting a job done that I had been putting off forever.  In one week, we doubled to quadrupled the size of our company which was a results of those calls with Kevin.  I also doubled my income that week personally and started a new venture joint partnership with another colleague all because of the coaching I received from Kevin.

Dec. 11, 2000

I came to Kevin as a new coaching (sic) trying to get my business going.  I was only a little effective and trying to get a clearer direction and "get things done".  Kevin described himself as a "results oriented" coach and I thought this is just what I need.

In our very first 2 hour sessions I knew I had a real action and results coach.  This is just what the doctor ordered.  I was able to lay out clear plans and move several steps ahead of where I thought I would be.  I estimate that I tripled my output and was consistently making two to three times what I had made before Kevin's coaching. One month I increased 6 times what I had made before having Kevin's strong focused approach.  I am now still on the clear path that Kevin helped me set a year ago and finishing the important matters of my coaching business.

So, I would say, if you need to get into action, get "results", get more focus, and make more money - see Kevin.  He's becoming more and more in demand.  I hope he will be able to fit you into his tight coaching schedule, because if he can, and if you will work, you will see outstanding results.

Thanks Kevin for being a Coach's Coach.

May success and prosperity be yours,

Hi Kevin,

We do not know where to begin to thank you for the positive changes we have brought to our personal and professional lives due to your insight and support. No longer do we listen to music at the studio or in the car while on a work schedule.  It has allowed our minds to breathe and our souls to be heard.  We have also dramatically reduced the amount of time we spend watching television.  We have rediscovered our personal life and the tons of wonderful things we have in common.

Keeping a journal, meditation, and taking deep, cleansing breaths throughout the day have sharpened our focus a hundred times over. The less we carry around in our heads, the more mental strength and capacity we have for our tasks at hand and the more productive we become.

Thank you, thank you and thank you for sharing your wisdom, thoughts and always-valuable input to help us build strong foundations to grow and form and flourish.

Sincerely,

Dear Kevin,

Thanks Kevin, for urging me to write out and repeat daily the affirmations, which now have turned my life wishes into actions, and dreams into reality!

In the past I have carried and reviewed written "Goal Cards" which have brought me a certain measure of heightened focus and financial success.

However, by regularly repeating my written affirmations two or three times a day, I find I have become more broadly successful than with the goal cards.  I believe this is true because my subconscious accepts the repeated statements of the "ideal me" as if they were now true whereas the goal statements are perceived as narrower focus points yet to be.

Personally, I prefer the affirmations because they are more personal, believable and descriptive.  The goals, although equally necessary to achieve success, feel more impersonal and sometimes seem less achievable.

A more sophisticated application of affirmations might be to incorporate them with positive statements in a meditation process.  I have tried this too with some success.

Thanks again for sharing this priceless gift of positive thought processes with me, Kevin.  My life has more balance, less work and more enjoyment in every delicious breath I take, (Boy, that sounds like an affirmation itself!)

Yours very truly,

Kevin was instrumental in helping me develop my sales skills and techniques.  Starting with relatively no sales experience, I was amazed at how little I knew about the psychology of selling.  Working closely with Kevin, I quickly learned the skills and discipline needed to propel myself to be one of the top three in Canada for my company.

Kevin also helped me develop not just my business acumen, but other areas of my life as well.  I was surprised the Synergy program not just developed my business, but me as a person.  I now look to future with more confidence of my success and in myself.

Dear Kevin,

I want to thank you very much for helping me get on track, get moving and stay focused.  The past year has been unbelievable, with many extraordinary changes in my life that I previously had not dared hoped would happen.

With your suggestions and guidance, it took me only three weeks to move from my old job to the job of my dreams.  I doubled my salary, am now learning new things that are exciting to me every day and I no longer start Mondays by casting longing looks at the upcoming weekend.

Relationships with the important people in my life have improved tremendously as well.  You helped me set my priorities straight through your Wheel of Life exercise and one-on-one coaching and suggestions.  My relationships are now stronger, deeper and much more satisfying than before - and I am still learning.

Your lesson of licking toads has had a huge positive impact on the quality of my life.  From you I have learned how procrastination slowly eats away at my confidence, enthusiasm, achievements and success. It's such a simple, even obvious lesson.  But it has a huge, life-long impact!  By learning how to tackle procrastination I felt huge weights being lifted off my shoulders and all of my goals and activities are so much easier now.

You have also helped me uncover my true passion and show me how I can turn it into a dream business and career.  It was in front of my nose the whole time but fear and procrastination held me back.  Thanks to your coaching, encouragement and advice, I have discovered my true calling and am well on my way towards its success.

Thanks Kevin for making me a three-dimensional person again.  I'm so much more focused, successful, and most importantly, happier with my life and where it's going.  You have replaced the heavy stress of frustration with enjoyable "stress' of growth and achievement.  I can't wait to sit here again next year and write about all the wondrous things I will have accomplished with your help.

Sincerely yours,

Johnn Four

Dear Kevin,

The success that I have experienced using the proactive audio marketing piece in 2 months is greater than what Kevin predicted for the first six months.  The process of creating the audio book galvanized my belief system, focused my marketing efforts and gave me a track to run on.

As an example, I was skiing on Blackcombe before Christmas and a snowboarder joined us on the 7th Heaven chair.  We began chatting and before I said I was an investment broker, the person brought up investing in a Japanese index fund.  He was unsure about using the timing so I offered to give him my card.  At the top of the lift we exchanged cards, and I mailed the doctor, who runs a number of private clinics, a tape the following Monday.  On the same chair lift, I ran into an owner/operator of a restaurant who was skiing with his girlfriend.  He received this tape at the same time.  Both are six-figure accounts with potential for much more.  I have mailed each of my 75 clients two copies of the tape.  I have signed at least six accounts in direct response to this mailing, including a seven-figure referral.

The tape was paid for within one month of production, directly attributable to this endeavor.  The proactive audio book is a process.  The process is as important as the results.  The confidence I have gained using this powerful, time-leveraging tool would be tough to beat using conventional marketing tools.

Sincerely,

I'd just like to drop you a note to express my thanks and gratitude for the coaching and guidance. I am the first to admit that I was a skeptic about what personal coaching would do for me. But in only a short time it is very clear to me that I am now in control of my own destiny and feel truly optimistic about what the future holds.

The weekly coaching sessions keep me on track and accountable for the activities I need to focus on in my daily business life. The balance in my life is not perfect but it certainly is a lot better than it has been in the past and getting stronger by the day. Thanks again!

I would like to thank you for your coaching over the past six months or so. Over the past 3 weeks we put together a strategy for asking for referrals from my top 50 clients. We put the script together, organized the database and I started calling. The first couple of calls were a little tough but I persisted. I called them all over a week or so and I was surprised at the result.

When the calls were completed I had received 18 referrals. Many of them were quite valuable and I am following up with all of them. The great thing about the experience is that it taught me not only how to ask for referrals but that I can always ask for them with an expectation of receiving them and that happy clients are very willing to give them to me.

Thanks for the help that you have given me. It has made an enormous difference in my business, my family life, and my income. I look forward to working with you to continue my personal growth.

I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your help in getting this coaching job with the Texas Rangers, and this past year with my career. I'll never forget our first meeting discussing my goals and our plan of attack. At the time I thought my goal of coaching professional baseball was a bit of a stretch but you didn't. You had faith in my as we outlined a plan and you stuck by me when I was discouraged, and you know as well as I do, that there were times when I had more doubts than confidence.

Our weekly meetings kept me on track and your excellent feedback and ideas propelled me toward my goals. You also held me accountable when I really wasn't into it. I can't thank you enough for sticking with me - your faith, discipline, and energy made it work. Urging me to speak with the top coaches and managers in baseball, doing the practice interviews, setting deadlines, helping me with cover letters, pushing me to do what I thought was not possible; this and more is what did it. Thanks again.

P.S. I was just looking over some notes and noticed last year I had written a goal of getting a job in pro ball by November 30, 1998. I received the job offer December 11, 1998. Teamwork!

I can't begin to thank you enough for all the help you have been able to provide me with in the past few months!

Before I started taking your coaching sessions, I was constantly stressed at work and never feeling like I had any balance in other areas of my life. Since we have been working together, I have developed the tools I need to ensure a balanced lifestyle. I feel much more relaxed and as a result, I am more productive. I have even managed to take my sales from far below budget to exceeding my budget in just a few short months!

Kevin has lofty ambitions, and sets lofty goals. Fortunately, I am in a position to comment on his ability to achieve these goals simply due to the fact that he was able to deliver, as promised, on his commitment to help increase my monthly sales figures and design a more effective strategy for customer service.

I admire Kevin for his energy and enthusiasm with which he greets life. This proves to be a very powerful tool as he combines this energy with his interpersonal skills to gain momentum in his pursuit to motivate and coach those individuals who work closely with him.

Thanks again for the work you did preparing a competition analysis for our firm. The information gathered and recommendations made were extremely useful and will form the basis for our marketing focus in upcoming years.

In addition to the useful information and ideas, the level of service you provided and ability to follow-up were truly inspirational.

This is a quick note to give you some feedback on the tape that I got from you on generating endless referrals. When I first got the tape I didn't expect too much, so I was pleasantly surprised when I listened to it. I found that it was very informative and to the point in an organized format that was easy to follow. The examples given were easy to understand and relate to. The thing I liked the most is that the content was done mostly from a neutral point of view that focused more on education than on a constant underlying sales pitch.

I want to take this opportunity to thank you again for your great advice. At times running my own company can be isolating. Since I began working with you I truly feel as though I have someone else on my team. It is a great feeling knowing you are only a phone call away. You are always receptive and sincerely interested in my goals and helping me achieve them.

I am enjoying working with you and seeing my goals become a reality.

Dear Kevin,

The purpose for writing this letter, Kevin, is to just say "Thank you" for some of your letter writing techniques.  For example, one of the techniques I've used religiously since you told me about it, is to use the person's name repetitively throughout the letter you are writing to him.  The impact of this technique has been incredible Kevin.

For example, one of my client service commitments is to send quarterly letters and statements to all my clients.  For the quarter ending, September 1997 two of my clients informed me that they were impressed with how I used their name throughout the letter I wrote to them. Both clients also said that none of their other financial analysts make the effort to keep them informed like I do.  The fee for service I generate using your technique Kevin is $17,549.35.   I wish to thank you for all of your help and if anyone denies the effectiveness and impact of the "Person's Name" technique please do not hesitate to have them call me.

Sincerely,

Darryl Otteson
