Deliver Period

Do you walk the walk, or simply talk the talk? One of the benefits of being an entrepreneur is that you don’t have to report to anyone. This benefit is actually a liability for the exact same reason because no one is holding you accountable for your results.

Consider procrastination. You may say that you don’t procrastinate, and yet your employees haven’t had performance reviews in over a year; you may say that you value customer feedback, and yet you don’t have a formal feedback process in place. How can you create massive value for your customers and employees, if you don’t take action to make it happen? When you do what you say you’re going to do, your customers and employees trust you. When you follow through with your commitments, it demonstrates personal integrity.  Trust + Integrity = Credibility.

You also need to set goals and commit fully. Decisions alone are great, but they need to be followed through with actions. Actions alone are great, but if they are not based on a big decision, this doesn’t really work either. For example, if you make one decision with ten actions, you get a result of ten. If you make ten decisions with ten actions each, you get a result of one hundred. Decisions * Actions = Results.
