Kevin Lawrence encourages his clients to embrace a passion to give back to their communities, not just with money, but also with their heart, hands and minds. Cleaning a park, building a playhouse, mentoring a teenager less fortunate than themselves – the rewards from giving back will last a lifetime, certainly far longer than another hour of work.

Kevin, alongside his longtime friend Richard Deacon, are founders of “A Night of Giving Back,” an annual charity event to benefit the citizens in the poorest area in Canada – the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver. Through this compassionate, unconditional, need-based giving – thousands of socks, gloves, hats and blankets – Kevin is making a real difference for people in very difficult situations.

Additionally, in 2009, Kevin, his young son, and father travelled to Ensenada, Mexico to build a house for a family of nine who could not otherwise afford it. Helping people less fortunate and meeting incredibly interesting individuals has connected Kevin to his community and inspired him to make a difference internationally.

“It changes how you feel about things and what you see. Giving of yourself is about as equal to a win-win as is possible on this planet.”
